On Saturday I took Skyeley to participate in the Little Miss Pink Tomato contest in Hooper. It was so much fun and she was so cute to have her in it. They did a luau theme this year and allowed all the kids to be in swimming suits and to have hair bow in their hair. In years passed, all the kids under 3 were in a diaper and no hair bows of any kind were allowed. I of course didn't take a swimming suit for Skyeley so as soon as my mom and her husband got there I hurried home to get Skyeley a swimming suit. I was so afraid I was going to miss her age group, because I left right when the contest started and of course there is construction on the way to my house, so I called my mom and told her if I missed it to please take lots of pictures for me. Luckily I made it back in plenty of time and had a few minutes to snap some shots of her in her swimming suit.
When it was our turn, I took Skyeley up on the stage and had her wave at the judges and say, "Hi." She was very friendly with the judges, but she wanted to get down and dance to the music. I tried to have her dance on the table and she didn't want anything to do with it.
We were pleased to find out she won best dressed beach babe and ended up with a lei medal and bag full of goodies for her winnings. She was very proud of herself and couldn't wait to show her daddy the pictures on the camera when we got home of, "Skye."
